Braden Lam seems to mend every situation with his delivery of feel-good hooks and warm vocals. The folk singer-songwriter from Halifax, NS builds upon influences such as Hey Rosetta! and Dallas Green to create the refreshing and upbeat anthems of his life.
His newest single Dawson City (August 2018) captures the pure grit and obsession of the 1890’s Klondike Gold Rush through it’s narrative lyrics and restless instrumentation. The forthcoming album,Driftwood People, will be available September 14th. Growing up in rural Ontario, Braden’s honest lyrics reflect the many landscapes of his upbringing. His debut EP The Coast was released in 2016 before settling upon Nova Scotia’s salty shores; where he has since been inspired and shaped by the allure of the ocean.
Looking ahead to this Fall 2018, Braden will be promoting his new album with a full band tour across Atlantic Canada.
