How to Submit:
All submissions are done online via Marcato.
If you are an ECMA member, please log into your ECMA account and find your member submission form under the “Submissions” tab of the MyECMA dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner of the website. If you are a member and use the non-member link provided above, you will be charged $50 per category submission instead of the member rate of $30 per category. Please make sure to use the correct form.
Music Award Submission Requirements:
All music award categories for full albums require both a link to a downloadable version of the full album, as well as a streaming link to the full album.
Please see this easy Dropbox tutorial to learn more about how to upload your album for jurors to be able to download.
We’ve also created an easy to follow Soundcloud upload how-to guide here.
ECMA recommends either Soundcloud or Bandcamp for the provided streaming link. iTunes and Spotify links will not be accepted.
Showcase Submission Requirements:
To be eligible for the majority of showcases, artists must have had an eligible release (minimum of 3 songs released to the public) within the past 2 years. Some showcases require a release within the last year.
Please refer to the 2018 Awards & Stages Manual for all showcase eligibility criteria.
The ECMA nominees are determined by over 200 regional, national, and international jurors who are experts in their field. All nominees and winners are chosen solely based on juror scores, with exception of the two Fans’ Choice awards, whose winners are determined by public vote.
Showcasing artists are first reviewed and scored by the jurors, and then programmed with help of the five regional music industry associations and the ECMA Programming Committee.
To learn more about the eligibility and jurying criteria of all award and showcase categories, please consult our 2018 Awards & Stages Manual.
