ECMA Announces Irving Oil as Sponsor for 2017 Fan Fest
Thanks to support from Irving Oil, the 2017 ECMAs are proud to bring back Fan Fest - a free, family-friendly concert featuring performances by Old Man Luedecke, Heather Rankin, Dave Gunning, Jessica Rhaye, and Penny Blacks.
Irving Oil Fan Fest takes place on Saturday, April 29 from 1:00pm-3:00pm in the Atrium at Market Square - Home of the 2017 ECMAs. It's an opportunity for fans of all ages to enjoy live East Coast music and to get up close and personal with their favourite musicians. In addition to these performances, the event will also include musician meet-and-greets, autograph sessions, and more.

About the artists:
Old Man Luedecke: Old Man Luedecke is a two-time JUNO Award-winning folk musician based in Chester, NS. He has travelled the world to the delight of audiences from Australia to Europe for his very engaging live show and heart warmingly unique tunes.
Heather Rankin: After over twenty-five years of performing with her siblings, Heather Rankin comes into her own with A Fine Line, her debut solo record. This is Heather Rankin like you have never heard her before, breaking away from The Rankin Family’s signature sound, and forging her own musical legacy with her poetic, intimate original songs, and an eclectic mix of others.
Dave Gunning: Dave Gunning is truly a masterful storyteller known for distilling the essence of a nation into iconic and anthemic folk songs, traversing territory as diverse as hockey, hardships, love, the pulp mill, and grassroots activism.
Jessica Rhaye: Jessica Rhaye, with her stunning vocals and lush melodies, has always moved easily between folk and Americana. Inspired by the likes of John Denver and Ryan Adams, Jessica’s fifth full-length album Song In Me shows the New Brunswick artist fully embracing her style.
Penny Blacks: Penny Blacks revel equally in folk-country weepers and sheer pop. Still dripping with the salt air and desolate fog of their hometown of Saint John, 2016 found the band touring Canada in anticipation of their forthcoming 2017 album Long Lights.
More free events at ECMA 2017
ECMA is partnering with TD Bank Group and The Community Foundation for the ECMA Opening Concert on the Boardwalk. This concert will take place on the Boardwalk Stage outside of Market Square - Home of the 2017 ECMAs on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00pm. This concert is free to the public and will feature performances from Hilary Ladd, Adam Washburn, The Search (Quake Matthews & Kayo), Old Man Luedecke, and Vivian Ni - winner of the TD Music Moves Me contest.
The ECMAs will once again be programming Radio ECMA, a broadcasting platform that supports showcasing artists, nominees, and rising stars during the ECMAs. This year, Radio ECMA is on location at Market Square – Home of the 2017 ECMAs for five days. The public is invited to drop by Radio ECMA throughout the festival during the following hours:
Wednesday, April 26 - 12:00pm-10:00pm
Thursday, April 27 - 11:00am-10:00pm
Friday, April 28 - 11:00am-10:00pm
Saturday, April 29 - 11:00am-10:00pm

L'AMCE dévoile Irving Oil comme commanditaire pour Fan Fest 2017

Grâce au support d’Irving Oil, les Prix de la musique de la côte Est 2017 : Festival et conférence 2017 (ECMA 2017) sont fière de réintroduire Fan Fest - un spectacle conviviale et familiale, gratuit au public, avec la participation de Old Man Luedecke, Heather Rankin, Dave Gunning, Jessica Rhaye et Penny Blacks.
Irving Oil Fan Fest aura lieu le samedi 29 avril de 13 h à 15 h au Market Square - Les quartiers généraux des ECMAs 2017. C’est une occasion excellente pour le public de voir de prêt leurs musiciens préférés dans un contexte intime. En plus du spectacle, l'événement propose des rencontres avec les artistes, des séances d'autographes et plus encore.

Old Man Luedecke : Basé à Chester, N.-É., Old Man Luedecke est un musicien folk, récipiendaire de deux prix JUNOs. Il a parcouru le monde au grand plaisir des spectateurs, de l’Australie jusqu’en Europe, en agrandissant son bassin d’admirateurs avec des spectacles captivants et ses chansons réconfortantes.
Heather Rankin : Après plus de vingt-cinq ans de chanson avec ses frères et sœurs, Heather Rankin est de retour avec son premier album solo, A Fine Line. En se détachant de la signature mélodique de la Rankin Family, elle forge son propre héritage musical avec ses chansons originales poétiques et intimes, tout en y ajoutant un nouvel éclectisme.
Dave Gunning : Dave Gunning est un véritable maître dans l’art du conte, reconnu pour avoir mis en musique l’essence d’une nation dans des chansons folk emblématiques et rassembleuses, en abordant des sujets aussi variés que le hockey, les embûches, l’amour, les usines de pâte à papier et l’activisme.
Jessica Rhaye : Avec sa voix incroyable et ses mélodies riches, Jessica Rhaye s’est toujours déplacée facilement entre la musique folk et l’americana. Inspiré par des artistes tels que John Denver et Ryan Adams, Song In Me - le cinquième album de Rhaye – démontre que l’artiste néo-brunswickoise assume pleinement son style.
Penny Blacks : Le groupe Penny Blacks se démarque également avec ses paysages folks mélancolie et sa pop éclatante. Toujours en train d’humer l’air salé et le brouillard glauque de leur ville natale, Saint John, le groupe a fait une tournée du pays en prévision de leur prochain album, Long Lights.

Encore une fois, ECMA 2017 accueillera Radio ECMA, une plateforme de radiodiffusion qui soutient les artistes, les finalistes et les étoiles de demain, au courant des ECMAs. Cette année, Radio ECMA est sur place à Market Square - Les quartiers généraux des ECMAs 2017 pendant cinq jours.
