1,150 musicians applied for the opportunity to perform at ECMW 2014. Juries made up of regional, national, and international music industry professionals carefully selected the showcasing artists.

"There simply could not be a better year for Prince Edward Island to host Eastlink East Coast Music Week," said Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Henderson. "Not only does it makes a fantastic addition to the 2014 celebrations and the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference, but it also showcases the tremendous talent that calls this region home. I invite everyone to join us for ECMW 2014.”

Eastlink returns as the title sponsor of the event and will once again be broadcasting the Gala Awards Show nationally.
