ECMA Announces First Slate of 2021East Coast Music Award Winners

Neon Dreams, Classified, Catherine MacLellan, Les Hay Babies, and Beòlach are among the initial winners of the 2021 East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs). The awards were announced this evening, as part of an online special streamed via the ECMA’s Youtube channel.
Hosted by Jay Malone and Justine Williamson, the 2021 East Coast Music Awards Show presented by Dairy Farmers of Canada featured performances from Beòlach, Classified, Hauler, Jimmy Rankin, Keonté Beals, Les Hay Babies, Like A Motorcycle, Rachel Beck, Rich Aucoin, Rose Cousins, Silver Wolf Band, and Zamani, as well as a special tribute to Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Rita MacNeil, performed by a cast of former bandmates, friends and more.
The remaining ECMA Awards will be handed out Sunday June 13, during a special virtual Music & Industry Awards Show presented by TD, hosted by Heather Rankin and streamed via the ECMA’s Facebook and Youtube channels.
Throughout tonight’s broadcast, the following ECMAs were handed out:

The ECMA have additionally announced that Fredericton, New Brunswick will host the 2022 East Coast Music Awards: Festival & Conference. This will mark the first time that the event has been held in Fredericton since 2008.
“We’re very excited to head back to Fredericton for the 34th annual ECMAs,” said Andy McLean, CEO of the East Coast Music Association. “Known for its lively spirit, its deep roots in music and culture, and its undeniable hospitality, we're looking forward to working with the host team in Fredericton to create a memorable and successful week for music fans, performers, and the entire community.”

Neon Dreams, Classified, Catherine MacLellan, Les Hay Babies et Beòlach figurent parmi les premiers lauréats des Prix de la musique de la côte Est 2021. Les prix ont été annoncés ce soir, dans le cadre d’un spectacle en ligne diffusé sur les canaux Facebook et YouTube de l’ECMA.
Animé par Jay Malone et Justine Williamson, le spectacle des Prix de la musique de la côte Est 2021, présenté par les Producteurs laitiers du Canada, a mis en vedette les artistes Beòlach, Classified, Hauler, Jimmy Rankin, Keonté Beals, Les Hay Babies, Like A Motorcycle, Rachel Beck, Rich Aucoin, Rose Cousins, Silver Wolf Band et Zamani, et a aussi rendu un hommage spécial à Rita MacNeil, qui est entrée au Panthéon des auteurs et compositeurs canadiens, interprété par un groupe composé d’anciens membres de son groupe, d’amis et autres.
Les autres Prix ECMA seront remis le dimanche 13 juin, lors d’une cérémonie virtuelle de remise des prix de la musique et de l’industrie présentée par TD, animée par Heather Rankin et diffusée sur les canaux Facebook et YouTube de l’ECMA.
