ECMA Remembers David Hayman

ECMA is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of David Hayman. David was the owner of Supergroup Sonic Branding Co. (Toronto) and a frequent guest in the East Coast having been a part of our Export Buyers Program since 2009 and previously a delegate at the Music & Image Program.

David had a vibrant personality and a love for music that was bigger than the man himself. David was never a guest in the East Coast, he truly felt like one of us. A steadfast and passionate supporter of the arts. He was a mentor, educator, promoter and innovator. Full of charisma and a guy that would lend an ear to anyone.

During his trips to ECMA it was guaranteed he would be the last one to return to his room at the end of a night. How else would he pack in all the artists he would want to see? His passion led to the opening of doors and opportunities for countless artists in Atlantic Canada and we will forever be grateful. His family and friends are in our hearts through this difficult time. Rest easy Mr. Music Man.
