FAI Official Showcase applications are now open for the 2022 hybrid conference HERE!

This year, FAI Official Showcases will be performed in person at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, MO from February 23-27, with the possibility of a limited number of online-only showcases. Each showcase will be recorded, with the artists' permission, and available for viewing the next day on the FAI online conference platform for virtual attendees. Official Showcase applications close on September 30, 2021, and all applicants will be notified of their status on November 2, 2021. For more information visit, www.folk.org

FAI 2022 Canadian Music. East Coast Style. Virtual ‘Spotlight’ Showcase

ECMA, Music/Musique NB, MusicNL, Music NS, the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative (CBMIC), and Music PEI are excited to present the “Canadian Music. East Coast Style.” virtual spotlight showcase at the 2022 hybrid edition of the Folk Alliance International conference.

The “Canadian Music. East Coast Style.” showcase spotlight will feature emerging and established export-ready artists from Atlantic Canada selected through a submission and jury process. These 15 minute pre-recorded virtual showcases will be coordinated and filmed working with music industry partners, or artists/ groups who have existing high-quality live performance video content may be considered. Selected artists will be notified by Monday, November 2, 2021.

This virtual showcase opportunity is open to export-ready artists from the acoustic, folk, roots, bluegrass, Americana, Celtic, and World music genres. Artists must have released a recording in the last 36 months or have an upcoming release in the next 12 months to apply.
